This is the third in a series of four time lapse videos featuring the dramatic weather out over the Atlantic ocean, as witnessed from Aultgrishan in Wester Ross on the northwest coast of Scotland.
I was hoping to film a dramatic sunset through broken clouds but on this occasion the cloud cover was too heavy along the horizon, with no chance of seeing the actual sun.
However, all was not lost, as higher in the sky the swirling storm clouds had started to pick up the glowing orange light from the lowering sun.
So I quickly re-framed and started to shoot the hundreds of still frames needed to create this time lapse of the light show in the heavens, keeping on filming until the glorious light finally faded and the scene turned to grey at the end of another day of wonderful scottish weather.
