Oh I do like to be beside the seaside....Oh I do like to be beside the sea...
Well that's old song is cetainly true for my wife Liz and I, and we make sure we get to the seaside along our strietch of the north Wales coast as often as practical.
But every now and then we like to venture a bit further afield and experience a different seaside vibe.
So with a few day's break in our friends caravan at Dinas Dinlle, we decided to head south to the bottom end of the Snowdonia National Park and check out the ever popular seaside resort of Barmouth.
Barmouth is quite a busy tourist and day tripper destination, with attactions to cater for all tastes, but we eschewed the gaudier offerings and settled for a quiet stroll along the northern end of the promenade.
Which is where I shot the hundreds of still images needed to create these few seconds of time lapse video.
What inspired me to get the camera out wasn't the view along the promenade as such, but rather the strange weather conditions, with billows of sea mist blowing in from Cardigan Bay and passing over the coastline just in front of us.
Quite surreal to be sitting in the bright sunshine, while just a couple of hundred metres away there was completely different weather conditions.
