There are numerous rivers and streams criss-crossing the Snowdonia National Park (now called Eryri) in North Wales, and no wonder with the amount of rain that falls over this mountainous region.
One of the prettiest, and most accessible, is the Afon Llugwy which runs through the middle of Betws-y-Coed before joining the much larger river Conwy just to the north of the town.
Laced with waterfalls along its length, and bounded by tree lined banks, the Afon Llugwy is a walkers' (and photographers') delight.
My wife Liz and I stopped off in Betws-y-Coed, during one of our many travels around Snowdonia, on a beautiful sunny day in late September, just before the trees lining the Afon Llugwy had started to don their autumnal foliage.
Taking the riverside walk, we strolled along through the woodlands with the sound of running water ever present and soothing in our ears.
And, of course, I had to stop every now and then when the view of the river was particularly delightful, to shoot some video as a reminder of such a wonderful day.
