With a lot of rainfall you get a lot of rivers, and that's certainly the case in the Snowdonia National Park (now called Eryri) in North Wales.
With weather fronts blowing in from the Atlantic ocean to the west and hitting the high mountains of Snowdonia, it's raining more often than not here.
So the combination of mountainous landscapes and a lot of rain results in some impressive rivers and waterfalls.
Such as the Afon Llugwy, videod in full spate here at Capel Curig as it powers over waterfalls and under the beautiful old stone arch Pont Cyfyng bridge.
Bring on the rain I say!
