This is the second of a series of five time lapse videos, filmed around Carlingford Lough, which forms part of the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic, during August 2023.
The location for this view was the beach at Carlingford in the Republic of Ireland, looking across the water towards the Mountains of Mourne in Northern Ireland.
A two week holiday spent exploring the beautiful scenery of Northern Ireland, with occasional forays over the border into the Republic, found my wife Liz and I driving along the shores of Carlingford Lough under skies punctuated with alternating bursts of sunshine and rain.
The views under these lighting conditions were just stunning, with patches of sunlight and shadow playing over the surrounding hills and foreshore.
So it comes as no surprise that I spent a disproportionate amount of time shooting time lapse videos at the various stuning overlooks we stopped at.
