This is the fifth and final installment of a series of time lapse videos, filmed around Carlingford Lough, which forms part of the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic, during August 2023.
The location for this view was Carlingford itself, in the Republic of Ireland, with the magnificent Carlingford castle stealing the coastal scene.
We had spent an hour or so with our family, who were on holiday with Liz and I, at the high ropes course just a short way inland from this view, and were thinking about heading back to our holiday house when I saw this wonderful scene across the road from where we were parked.
The combination of a sunlit foreground set against the boiling clouds of an approaching storm looked just amazing, especially with the beautiful landscape of Carlingford Lough adding its own drama to the view.
So a delay of twenty minutes or so was on the cards as I shot the hundreds of still images needed to create just these few seconds of time lapse video.
And I just made it back to car in time before the downpour arrived!
