There are many beautiful places scattered along the North wales coast, from which to watch a sunset developing over the waters of the Irish Sea.
And depending on the time of year certian locations give a better viewing angle than others.
Which is why my wife Liz and I wound up on the promenade at Deganwy on a lovely evening in late March, which gave a view of the sunset over the tidal estuary of the river Conwy, just before it enters the sea.
To my mind, this location at this time of year provides a more interesting foreground for my sunset time lapse compositions than some others along the coast, as the setting sun reflects nicely in the calm estuarine waters while the sands of Conwy Morfa to the west provide a vivid divide between the two brightly lit areas of the scene.
So it was a happy half hour we spent on this lovely evening, soaking in that calming seaside vibe while my camera clicked away, busy recording the hundreds of still images needed to create just a few seconds of time lapse video.
