Time lapse video of summer clouds over Denbigh Moors, North Wales #2

The story behind this video

There are some wonderful driving roads through the landscapes of north Wales, and one which my wife Liz and I enjoy travelling very much is the A543 that runs between the county town of Denbigh and Pentrefoelas on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park.

This route takes you high over the Denbigh moors, through some of the most desolate and beautiful scenery the north Wales has to offer.

Sandwiched between the mountains of Snowdonia to the west, and the Clwydian Range to the east, the Denbigh moors are a natural wonderland, but usually quite wet and cloudy.

However, on this particular day in June 2023 the sun was shining and light cumulus clouds were blowing over the landscape below, casting a moving patchwork of sunlight and shadow on the rolling golden grasses of the moors.

Absolutely entrancing, so, having found a convenient layby I set my camera and tripod up to record the scene as this time lapse video, capturing hundreds of still images as the clouds rolled by overhead and a herd of cows grazed the field in front of me, just to create a few seconds of video.

And then it was back in the car and onto the mountains of the Snowdonia National Park before heading down through Beddgelert and on to Dinas Dinlle for a couple of days by the sea.

What a beautiful example of God's amazing creation!
