A gentle evening on the North Wales coast at Dinas Dinlle, overlooking the Irish Sea and the beautiful mountains of the Llyn Peninsula at sunset was the perfect end to an afternoon spent driving through the scenery of the Snowdonia National Park from our home near Mold, to arrive at our friend's caravan for a couple of day's R&R.
And although the actual sunset was hidden behind a layer of cloud along the horizon, that didn't detract from the tranquil beauty of the scene as those clouds glowed in the evening light as day slowy faded to night.
Of course, I couldn't let such a lovely interplay of scenery and light go unremarked, so I spent a happy hour sat on a rock on Dinas Dinlle beach as my camera clicked away, recording the hundreds of still images needed to create this short time lapse sequence as my wife Liz took shelter from the stiff onshore breeze in our car, parked just a few metres away, overlooking mmy chosen spot.
And finally, when all the colour had bled from the skies above it was back to the caravan for a good warm up cup of coffee and a new day's exploring to look forward to around the Llyn Peninsula.
What a lovely couple of days!
