My wife Liz and I never pass up a chance to go to the seaside, so when a friend of ours offered us the use of her caravan at Dinas Dinlle on the north Wales coast for a couple of days, we jumped at the opportunity.
Dinas Dinlle is a beautiful spot, with a long beach of shingle and sand boasting views out over the Llyn Peninsual to the south, and the Isle of Anglesey to the north.
And it was to the northwest we focused our attention this particular evening in June 2023, as the sun headed down towards the horizon over the watchtower at the tip of Llanddwyn Island on Anglesey.
There were plenty of clouds around that evening, but of the 'helpful' type, that only served to add a bit of drama and extra interest to an already lovely scene.
