The week my wife Liz and I spent with the Irish side of our family at Kilkeel on the east coast, just above the Ireland / Northern Ireland border, was a wonderful time.
Not only did we get to spend time together, but Liz and I were able to explore some coastline and mountains that we'd never seen before.
One such drive took us south of the border to County Lough, where we spent some time meandering along the small winding roads that hugged the Irish Sea shoreline.
We stopped for a bite to eat at the small seaside village of Annagassan, with views across Dundalk Bay to the rolling hills on the far side.
With the tide out and magnificent cloudscapes casting dancing patches of sunlight and shadow across the exposed beach and hills, I didn't need to much persuading to get the camera out and shoot the few hundred still images needed to create this time lapse video as we munched on our pizzas.
And after a scant half an hour we were off and rolling to find the next amazing view in this beautiful and new (to us) part of Ireland.
