In the October of 2022 my wife Liz and I spent two weeks exploring the beauties of northwest Scotland from our AirBnB cottage overlooking the Atlantic ocean at Aultgrishan.
In order to get anywhere from Aultgrishan we had to drive though the lovely seaside town of Gairloch, and on one of our trips out we decided to stop there and have a look around.
Our trusty Ordinance Survey map showed a small beach at Gairloch, accessed along a path though a churchyard and golf club, so we decided to take a stroll to see what the beach looked like.
And I'm so glad we did, as the beach and surrounding tree covered cliffs were absolutely lovely, especially in the low angled late afternoon sun which had just broken through the jumble of clouds along the western horizon.
