Driving up through the magnificent scenery of the scottish highlands on our way to Gairloch on the atlantic northwest coast of Wester Ross, my wife Liz and I were compelled to stop at this viewpoint just outside Glencoe, looking down the dramatic valley of Glen Etive.
Flanked by majestic mountains, and with storm clouds boiling over the landscape, I just couldn't resist the urge to shoot my first time lapse of our Scotland adventure.
So with eyes streaming in the stiff October breeze I spent quarter of an hour hunched over my tripod as my camera clicked away, capturing the hundreds of still images needed to create just a few seconds of video.
And then the rain hit in earnest, and it was a quick dash back to the car before I, and more importantly my camera, got a good scottish soaking!
The first of many such dashes during our two week stay in this wonderful part of the world.
