In the April of 2023 my wife Liz and I spent a lovely week exploring the Lake District in the north of England, with sunlight and showers being the weather throughout the time we spent there - perfect for outdoor photography and much more interesting than boring blue skies!
And it was on a drive up past Windermere that we came across this beautiful view overlooking the village of Elterwater and the Langdale Pikes beyond.
With lovely summer cumulus clouds drifting over the peaks of the Langdales, casting moving patches of sunlight and shadows over the landscape below, the view was just too good to drive by.
So we pulled into a convenient layby and dug out our picnic pizza slices for a twenty minute break.
And, of course, I couldn't let the opportunity pass by to shoot the hundreds of still images needed to create this time lapse video.
And then it was on to the next beautiful location, of which there are so many in this wonderful part of God's creation.
