T'was the night before Eurovision, and all through Liverpool plenty of things were stirring.
Including my wife Liz and I, who were watching the antics on the Liverpool waterfront from a safe distance, across the river Mersey at Seacombe Dock in Birkenhead.
Even at this distance the sound coming from Liverpool 1 was quite impressive, but I wasn't here to listen to the music.
No, I wanted to film whatever lightshows were being displayed on the iconic facade and towers of the famous Liver Building in honour of that cultural delight that is Eurovision.
We arrived, and I started to shoot the hundreds of still images needed to create these few seconds of time lapse video, just as dusk was falling and the buildings' lights were coming on.
In the end we stayed and filmed for just over half an hour, until the skies above Liverpool had turned an inky black and the party had really started to ramp up.
Quite an experience!
