Here in north Wales we enjoy a rich variety of weather, as autumnal depressions stream in from off the Atlantic ocean, driven by the jetstream oscillating wildly in the upper atmosphere around our latitude.
All of which makes for some spectacular cloud effects in the skies above our coastline.
Add in some beautiful beaches and headlands and you have all you need for some wonderful outdoor photography opportunities.
One of my favourite spots to catch the action is the West Shore beach at Llandudno, which has the added advantage of being west facing, so you can catch a sunset from here pretty much all year round.
So there we were, my wife Liz and I, wrapped up against the November chill, watching and waiting to see if the sun would put in a brief appearance throguth the clouds as it sank towards the far horizon.
On this particular afternoon we were out of luck in terms of seeing the actual sun, but I wasn't disheartened as those clouds I mentioned earlier were putting on a fine display of light, colour and texture in the skies above.
An obvious opportunity to shoot a time lapse video as the light slowly faded away with the coming dusk, so I did, and here it is!
