One of many iconic scenes in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park in North Wales.
This is the view looking southeastwards down the length of Llyn Padarn at Llanberis, on a cold winter's day with threatening clouds blowing over the lake and mountains.
My wife Liz and I often stop here at the Pont Pen-y-Llyn bridge for a break during one of our drives through Snowdonia, having taken in views of the high mountains and various lakes, before dropping back down to the coast at Caernarfon for a bite to eat.
Sometimes this view is a bit tedious, with grey rain blanketing the lake and mountains.
But not today, and with a dusting of snow on the flanks of Snowdon in the far distance, and those dramatic clouds rolling by overhead, the opportunity to shoot this time lapse video was too great to resist!
So as my camera clicked away for twenty minutes recording the hundreds of still images needed to create just a few seconds of time lapse, Liz and I enjoyed the fresh air and sounds of running water as we took in the beauty of Snowdonia once again.
No doubt we'll be passing this way again in the not too distant future.
