A rare bright, clear winter's day over North Wales found my wife Liz and I on the hunt for beautiful scenery lit by gorgeous low angled light.
Having spent the afternoon touring some of our favourite places in the wonderful Snowdonia National park, we then headed down to the coast to catch the sunset.
Being winter, the sun was due to set far to the southwest, and there are only a few places on the north Wales coast to view it from at this time of year.
We chose to head to the western end of the famous Menai Straits, close to Caernarfon, which gave us this spectacular view out over the water to the mountains of the Llyn Peninsula, the Isle of Anglesey and, of course, the sunset.
And we weren't disappointed with our choice of location as we enjoyed a lovely and dramatic sunset right on the shores of the Menai Straits as the tide came in.
And, of course, my camera was set up clicking away to record the hundreds of still images need to create this time lapse video of that magical time.
