There's something marvellous about the lunar cycles, as regular as clockwork (even better in fact!) on a 28 day timetable.
Each different phase offers a photographic opportunity, depending on the cloud cover of course!
I took advantage of a clear blue sky at dusk in early August 2022 to take a few hundred rapid fire exposures of a gibbous moon tracking across the heavens, in order to create this time lapse video.
This phase of the moon highlights the cratered face of our satellite as the oblique angled sunlight grazes across the moon's lit surface. Just wonderful.
