This is the beautiful Nant Ffrancon valley, sitting between the Carneddau and Glyderau mountain ranges in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales.
My wife Liz and I often stop here to visit the café and toilets at the Llyn Ogwen visitors centre as we enjoy one of our regular scenic drives around the park.
But not many people take 'the road less travelled', a single track road that winds along the west side of Nant Ffrancon and gives spectacular views, such as this one looking down the valley all the way to the coast and the Isle of Anglesey in the far distance.
On this occasion, just after a snowfall in early March 2023, with the sun beaming down and with light fluffy cumulus clouds drifting towards me, casting shadows on the landscape below, it was a no-brainer for me to park up and shoot the hundreds of still images needed to create just these few seconds of time lapse video.
And it was no hardship to sit and admire the view in peace and quiet for twenty minutes or so before heading onwards down the Nant Ffrancon to the coast and home.
