There are loads of interesting old structures dotted around Wales, but few have the visual appeal of the historic wooden toll bridge at Penmaenpool on the tidal estuary of the river Mawddach.
My wife Liz and I usually make an effort to stop here when we're in the Barmouth area, not only to see the bridge, but also to have a drink at the wonderful George 3rd pub by the side of the river.
On this particular afternoon in June 2023 the weather was just perfect, with bright sunshine punctuated by towering cumulus clouds forming over the mountains of Snowdonia.
So, of course, while we sat looking out over the scene while enjoying our drinks, I also had my camera set up shooting away, taking the hundreds of still images needed to create these few seconds of time lapse video.
A lovely way to combine a relaxing half hour with photographic productivity, and then it was on to the next lovely view in this amazing part of the world.
