The story behind this video

If, like me, you're a fan of dramatic weather, then the Atlantic coast of Northern Ireland should definitely be on your 'must see' list.

A few days spent with my wife Liz, exploring the beautiful scenery in this part of the world, found us at sunset on the beach at Portstewart on the coast of County Londonderry, looking west across the water to the high ground of the Warren in County Donegal in the Irish Republic.

The sunset was just amazing, with shafts of golden sunlight breaking through the fast moving clouds while painting the landscape and ocean below with patches of dancing light.

So, of course, it was out with the camera and tripod to record the hundreds of still images needed to create just a few seconds of time lapse video.

Well worth the effort to have a memory of such a spectacular sight!
