A gorgeous evening on the North Wales coast and my wife Liz and I are making the most of it with a trip to Rhyl for a stroll along the newly rebuilt promenade.
Damaged in the storms a few years ago now, the eastern end of Rhyl's seafront has only just been reopened, which we were very happy about as, for us at least, this is the prettiest and quietest end of an otherwise heavily developed strip.
The huge sandy beach is lovely as well, and a lot cleaner now than it used to be several years ago.
After our stroll we got back to the car and watched as the sun started to drop towards the western horizon, out over the huge turbines of the Gwynt-y-Môr wind farm in Colwyn Bay.
The clouds were covering the sky over the Irish Sea, allowing just glimpses of sunlight to penetrate, but that was enough for me to get out my camera and tripod to capture a few hundred still images to create this time lapse video catching the play of light over a lovely seaside scene.
And the good part? Next time we're here at Rhyl the light will be different again.
The same view but varied every time, just wonderful.
