There are some great driving roads in North Wales, and one in particular that my wife Liz and I enjoy travelling is the A543 from Denbigh to Pentrefoelas, otherwise known as the Sportsman's Pass.
This road take you through the wonderful and desolate landscapes of the high altitude Denbigh Moors, with views to the Clwydian range of hills to the east, and the high peaks of the Snowdonia National Park to the west.
On this particular afternoon in early March 2023, with the sun bathing the moors after a day of snow and wind, the views out towards Snowdonia was just stunning, with the snow clad mountains glowing white against a backdrop of slowly drifting cumulus clouds.
So, of course, I had to stop for fifteen minutes or so in a convenient layby, set up my camera on the verge and shoot the few hundreds of still images needed to create this short time lapse of the beautiful view across to Snowdonia.
And then it was onwards towards Betws-y-Coed and into those magnificent mountains for a day of stunning views in the wonders of God's creation.
