South Stack Sunset Timelapse #2

The story behind this video

A beautiful early spring day in March 2022 found my wife Liz and I emerging from our winter hibernation (not really!) and heading up the North Wales coast to the stunning Isle of Anglesey.

We've been spending time together on Anglesey for the past forty odd years, and never tire of walking the coastal path overlooking the Irish Sea.

On this occasion we headed up the east coast, stopping off at Moelfre and Bull Bay before heading around the north of the island to end up at Holyhead as sunset approached.

Now one of the finest sunset locations anywhere in the world is to be found on Anglesey at the South Stack cliffs, overlooking the iconic South Stack lighthouse perched on its own little island just offshore.

So that's where we ended up, watching and filming as the sun settled down towards the far horizon, lighting up the clouds as it dropped while the lighthouse beam shone through the gradually reducing daylight.

And finally it was time to pack away and enjoy the drive home back along the North Wales coast, having been completely blessed with our immersion in God's wonderful creation.
