An overnight stay with my wife Liz at the Treaddur Bay Hotel on the beautiful Isle of Anglesey on the North Wales coast in February 2023 gave me the opportunity to shoot this time lase video of dusk falling over the rocks and beach of this popular tourist coastline.
We'd spent the day bathed in glorious winter sunshine as we explored the local beaches and headlands around Porth Dafarch, a favourite and well loved spot for us, but as we retired to the hotel overlooking Trearddur Bay the clouds rolled in just as the sun started to set.
I had been hoping to capture a time lapse of the sun setting to the southwest, but chose this view instead, filmed from just across the road from our hotel room, as the clouds took on delicate colours from the low angled sun approaching the horizon.
And then the sun sank once again at the end of the day and those colours rapidly turned to the grey/blue of twilight.
I kept on shooting for a little longer before packing my gear away and heading to the hotel's restaurant with Liz for what proved to be and excellent meal.
A fitting end to a restful day in one of the loveliest places in Wales. (And that's saying something!)
