Trearddur Bay Sunset, Anglesey Timelapse #1

The story behind this video

The rocky coastline of Anglesey at Trearddur Bay on the North Wales coast makes for some dramatic photography, especially in winter when the sun sets to the southwest out over the Irish Sea.

Which is why, at the end of a cold February day spent exploring the beauties of Anglesey, my wife Liz and I ended up at Trearddur Bay, watching and filming as the sun sank slowly towards the horizon at high tide.

Down on the beach, I positioned myself next to an eroded sea stack which gave me a great feature against which to set the sinking sun.

As the sunset developed a few clouds drifted along the horizon, picking up the beautiful warm sunset colours before the sun finally vanished below the far horizon and the last of the dusk colour bled from the scene.

And then it was time for the hour long drive home, nicely relaxed from having spent time by the sea in this wonderful part of North Wales.
