I'm really blessed to live right next to the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in North Wales, so whenever the fancy takes me I can jump in the car and in ten minutes I'm looking at stunning views out over the welsh countryside.
Which is just what I did on this particular evening in late January 2022.
With a nice looking sky close to sunset I drove up to the Pen Barras car park on the slopes of Moel Famau, the highest peak in the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, North Wales, and gazed out over the Vale of Clwyd spread out beneath me.
Over the hills, far to the west, a band of cloud was streaming along the horizon, catching the light of the setting sun and looking absolutely lovely, especially down the long end of my 100-400mm zoom lens!
And with calm conditions I had no problem in shooting the hundreds of still images needed to create this time lapse video of the sunset.
And I loved the rim lighting along the band of cloud that came to life as the sun disappeared, marking the end of another day.
