The giant turbines of the Gwyny-y-Môr offshore wind farm form a dramatic focal point to this time lapse video, capturing yet another lovely sunset over the North Wales coast, this time from the promenade at Rhyl.
Rhyl isn't usually considered as an outdoor photographer's paradise, with its highly developed, rather garish seafront.
But in Rhyl's favour, it is the closest point on the North Wales coast to the wind farm, helping those turbines to loom large on the horizon of the Irish Sea.
Add to that its north facing aspect and in the summer you've got an ideal spot from which to watch and film a sunset out over the sea.
Which is just what my wife Liz and I did during the heatwave of July 2022, taking advantage of the coast just a short drive from our home near Mold.
We're so blessed to live in North Wales and to be able to visit such lovely places whenever the mood and the weather dictate!
