Living here in beautiful North Wales, it's just too easy to hop in the car and pop along to the coast for a stroll by the sea whenever the fancy takes you, and the weather is playing ball.
Which is just what my wife Liz and I did on this lovely afternoon and evening in the spring of 2023, heading up to Prestatyn to take in the sea air and get some exersise.
But what I wasn't expecting was to catch a glorious sunset out over the turbines of the offshore Gwynt-y-Môr wind farm, out towards the far horizon.
Normally, in this part of the world, there's a band of cloud along the horizon which prevents you from seeing a 'clean' sunset, but on this evening the cloud was slightly higher and the horizon was clear.
The result was a golden sky above the turbines, and a beautiful view of the sun setting behind the turbines, and the glowing colours in the sky continued for a while after sunset, so of course, I kept filmimg, changing my viewpoint to catch those higher clouds as the light slowly faded from the sky.
A wonderful and unexpected end to what started out as just a stroll by the sea.
