After a few days spent touring around the wonderful and dramatic landscapes of northwest Scotland I was beginning to think that this wonderful country had run out of surprises.
But that was before my wife Liz and I took a detour one afternoon down to Big Sand beach, just outside Gairloch on the wild Atlantic coast.
Looking in one direction, along the sandy beach, gave us a lovely view of a wave kissed shoreline, as featured in my video Big Sand Video #1.
But then looking in the other direction I was gobsmacked by this stunning view out over a boulder strewn shoreline, across the water to the majestic mountains of the Isle of Skye rearing up from the misty horizon.
Needless to say, once I'd overcome my open mouthed shock, it was out with the camera to capture the scene in a series of still images and this video, showing those atlantic rollers pounding the rocks.
So just when I thought Scotland couldn't possibly throw more stunning views my way I was proved wrong once again!
