One of the best views in southern Snowdonia, this is the tidal estuary of the river Mawddach at Penmaenpool.
My wife Liz and I make a point of stopping here when we're in the area, to enjoy a drink at the historic George 3rd pub.
But of course, the main attaction is the wonderful old wooden toll bridge across the river, dating from 1879 and still in use today.
On this particular occasion in June 2023 we were treated to some excellent weather for photography, with summer cumulus clouds roiling over the landscape, set against a vivid blue sky.
So with the weather, the light and the scenery all looking their best the was lots of incentive for me to unpack the camera and tripod and set about creating a couple of time lapse videos to remember the afernoon by.
This is the second of those videos, the first being my Penmaenpool Timelapse 03 sequence.
For this second time lapse video I took a viewpoint further back from the bridge, as I wanted to include the pub in the composition, together with a handily positioned dinghy that was moored in the current and swinging gently around in the swirling waters.
What a lovely way to spend twenty minutes or so, lying on a riverbank watching the clouds as my camera clicked away every two seconds, recording the action for me.
