A break in the stormy February weather of 2020 was all the excuse my wife Liz and I needed to get out of the house and head towards one of our favourite North Wales beauty spots, the fantastic Isle of Anglesey.
There's so many wonderful walks and scenic landscapes to discover on Anglesey, but this time we headed for an old favourite, the coastal path at the lovely little seaside village of Moelfre on the eastern side of the island.
Starting from the habour car park we made our way along the path, past the original, and then the new, lifeboat station and on around the rocky headland out towards the wreck of the Royal Charter in Dulas Bay.
On our way back I stopped to take this panoramic collage of the small beach and fishermens' cottages opposite the small islet and bird sanctuary of Ynys Moelfre, revealing the stark beauty of this stretch of coast shown under threatening skies.
