One of the loveliest places that Liz and I visited during our week long stay on the southwest Atlantic coast of Ireland was Ardmore.
We came here twice, with the first visit being spent sat firmly in the car as four seasons' worth of weather arrived in the space of half an hour.
You can watch this amazing weather on my time lapse video looking over Ardmore beach to get some idea of why we didn't venture out!
However, with an improvement in the weather we made a second effort to explore this seaside town, under much more pleasureable, if less dramatic, conditions.
We found that one of the nicest aspects of Ardmore was the cliff path, tracing a circular route around Ardmore Head above and behind the town and taking in some dramatic coastal scenery.
This view highlights the lovely azure colours of the sunlit Atlantic Ocean, set against the yellows and greens of the rocks and cliff top.
