One of just many dramatic coastline locations in the southwest of Ireland, this is a 180° view of the beach at Ardmore, County Waterford, on the edge of the Atlantic ocean.
I was halfway through shooting the stills for my Ardmore Time Lapse video, just taking a break in-between getting soaked and frozen by the passing storm systems, when I decided to brave a quick panoramic shoot while the beach in front of me was bathed in sunlight and the next dose of ominous weather was building on the northern horizon.
As my trusty Canon was already set up for time lapse shooting on my tripod, I actually shot the frames for this panorama handheld using my back up camera Nikon D3100, which lives in the back of my car for just such an occasion as this.
I just love photographing in conditions like these - much more interesting than bland blue skies, and Adobe Lightroom made an excellent job of stitching my overlapping frames together.
A great start to the week that my wife Liz and I spent exploring this wonderful and wild coastline.
