It was a clear Autumn afternoon when my wife Liz and I took a drive along the North Wales coast, ending up just before sunset at the famous seaside town of Bangor, nestled on the bank of the Menai Straits.
Walking out over the Straits along the pier, we were treated to some lovely views back towards the town, bathed in the golden glow of the setting sun.
Just to the right of the pier was this shapely wooded hill, with an old fisherman's cottage and small boatyard reflecting in the calm-ish waters, which just sort of summed up the ambiance of laissez-faire that permeates Bangor.
A lovely relaxing sort of place, on a gem of an evening.
