During the coronavirus lockdown in the autumn of 2020 my wife Liz and I spent quite a bit of time discovering new places to visit and photograph in our locality.
One such discovery was the Greenfield Heritage Park, an eclectic mix of woodland, manmade reservoirs, decaying industrial buildings and the ruins of Basingwerk Abbey.
And it was at the abbey ruins that we stopped for twenty minutes or so to enjoy a takeaway coffee plus sausage and bacon bap.
With wonderful clouds scudding by overhead, throwing patches of sunlight and shadow across the abbey and surrounding parkland it was too good an opporunity to miss.
So I set my camera up to record a few hundred still images of the scene in order to create my Basingwerk Abbey Timelapse #1 video.
And this still image is one of those taken for the time lapse, showing the remaining abbey walls lit with lovely, warm, autumnal light.
