The beach at Talacre is a series of gentle undulations which fill with water at high tide and then slowly drain as the tide goes out.
This gives wonderful opportunities for reflections, one of the effects I especially like to photograph.
This single cloud, reflected in the tidal pool, attracted my attention, and together with the family out for a stroll on the beach on the right of the shot, made a very pleasing arrangment.
When photographing reflections I'll usually use a 2 stop Lee ND hard edged grad filter to bring the exposure of the sky and reflection into balance.
