This photo of the Little Orme at Llandudno on the North Wales coast shows off one of my favourite lighting conditions, with a heavy sky hanging over a sunlit landscape.
This combination of light and dark only happens rarely, usually on the edge of a weather system or clearing storm, and my photographic pulse quickens every time I experience it.
On this occasion, I decided to widen my view to include this young family who were nicely placed on the pebble beach and gave some human interest to the scene.
They didn't stay there very long - those pebbles aren't that comfortable!
