Nothing speaks more loudly of the British seaside than a row of brightly coloured beach huts.
These quintessential structures just beg to be photographed, so who am I to refuse?
These examples were lined up at the back of Llanbedrog beach on the Llyn Peninsula, and were thankfully backlit, keeping all those painted facades in open shade and thus enabling me to capture the colours in all their loveliness.
If the sun had been from a less favourable direction, with direct light falling on the fronts on the beach huts, then this image wouldn't have worked as well, as the colours would have washed out in the bright sunshine.
As it is, here's a slice of British seaside tradition that I hope will continue unchanged for many years to come.
