The East Shore at Llandudno, on the North Wales coast, is a fantastic place to be early in the morning in the summer months.
A solitary vigil, watching and waiting while the dawn light seeps across the sky, listening to the cry of the gulls and the gentle sound of the waves kissing the shore is balm to the soul.
The best time to visit is when the tide has just receded, leaving a pristine unmarked wet beach reflecting the twilight glow which just adds to the pleasure.
It's a time for quiet, a time for prayer and reflection. Photography is secondary to the experience, and happens by instinct without my even realising what I'm doing.
