Strolling along the beach at Conwy Morfa by the side of the Conwy estuary is a favourite pastime for my wife Liz and myself.
The view out west, towards the Irish Sea, takes in the limestone headland of the Great Orme sitting at the mouth of the estuary.
I wanted to take a meaningful photo of the scene including the just washed beach, the sea and the Great Orme. So I scoured the beach for suitable foreground interest, eventually coming across this clump of seaweed and lugworm hole.
With the late afternoon sun shining at a low angle across the scene, emphasising the contours and shapes of the seaweed and hole and just highlighting the gently breaking waves, it was a picture not to be missed.
