The story behind this image

The Afon Lledr, a smaall tribuary stream of the river Conwy, runs through some beautiful scenery near to Betws-y-Coed in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales.

I was enjoying a day out with my wife and daughter, who was looking for some inspirational locations to help with a book she is writing.

So where better to go than Snowdonia, steeped in a mysterious and ancient heritage, and with hidden gems like the Afon Lledr to explore.

So while my daughter soaked up the ambiance I did what I usually do and tried to capture the essence of the place in a mere two dimensional image while balanced precariously on a mid-stream rock.

Just a gorgeous and tranquil sensory delight, and one I'll keep on coming back to again and again.
