During Liz and my couple of days' holiday in the Brecon Beacons National Park we took a couple of drives up into the high hills, following the Gospel Pass up by the curiously named 'Lord Hereford's Knob'.
Late in the day as the sun was setting, the light filtering through gaps in the clouds was beautifully warm and clear, so we took the opportunity to park up and admire the scenery for a few minutes.
A short walk from the layby took me over the edge of a small limestone escarpment where I found this rocky outcrop bathed in the last of the sunlight.
so what started as a relaxing stroll suddenly became a mad rush as I raced back to the car for my camera kit before the light failed.
I'm glad to say I made it just in time!
