As part of a couple of days 'glamping' experience in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales, my wife Liz and I took a trip into the Vale of Ewyas to visit the famous Llanthony Priory.
Dating from the 13th century these landmark ruins still include a working hotel, bar and restaurant, but I was more interested in their photographic, rather than gastronomic, potential.
With patchy clouds passing by overhead, the lighting conditions were constantly changing as I took several different exposures under varying conditions, but without that ultimate satisfaction that occurs when everything comes together as a whole.
But eventually clouds, light, shadow and sheep all combined in a decisive moment which I was able to capture to make this final image.
