When my children were small a trip to Anglesey was a real adventure, and we knew we'd arrived when we went across the 'String Bridge' over the Menai Straits.
The 'String Bridge' is, of course, the wonderful suspension bridge designed by Thomas Telford and completed in 1826, the first of it's kind in the world.
This bridge is placed in an absolutely beautiful setting, and there's a plethora of photos of it taken from the same location as this one available on the web.
I've always wanted to photograph this scene, but maybe in a way that's a bit different from the normal daytime scenes that are so well known.
To get this image I chose to visit the spot just after sunset, on an evening that I knew there would be a high tide at this time.
I spent maybe an hour just at this one spot, photographing the bridge and its reflection as twilight gave way to night, and the lights on the bridge grew stronger in relation to the blue ambient light.
This image is my favourite from the shoot, giving the best combination of lighting balance and quality of reflection.
