This is the highly picturesque Ashness Bridge, on Derwent Water in England's Lake District.
The Lake District is definitely the place to be in Autumn, and the overcast skies my wife Liz and I experienced during our visit just seemed to enhance the beautiful colours all around us.
A touch of sun would have been nice, but there's a wonderful serenity in this low contrast scene that just speaks quietly to the soul.
I'm sure one day we'll go back and the mood will be completely different, but that's one of the joys and delights of photography isn't it?
