Day was giving way to night as my wife Liz and I pulled up in a layby opposite the imposing bulk of Caernarfon castle on the North Wales coast.
In front of us a flotilla of small boats bobbed around on the rising tide as the estuary of the Afon Seiont river filled up with seawater, in which a reflection of the castle started to emerge.
As dusk settled in the castle walls started to glow with patches of artifical light as the natural light of day slowly morphed into the darkness of night.
Of course, I wasn't just sitting there admiring the view!
No, I was out with my tripod mounted camera, making minute exposure adjustments as it clicked away, capturing the hundreds of still images required to create my Caernarfon Timelapse #13 video.
I kept on filming until almost all of the natural light had faded away beofre finally packing up ready for the hour's drive back home.
It's just amazing how many beautiful scenes like this one there are around North Wales, and I'm so blessed to live in such a wonderful part of the world!

Filters - 2 stop neutral density filter used to balance the brightness of the scene with its reflection.
