Living in North Wales as I do, I have easy access to the string of castles built by King Edward in the 13th century to keep the welsh in check.
This is Conway (Conwy) castle, photographed at twilight at the end of a dull and rainy day. The great thing about photographing floodlit castles is that the worse the weather, the better they look! The looming clouds certainly add an air of foreboding to this scene, which is far removed from the 'postcard' type of shot sold in the tourist kiosks.
