Another serendipitous photo of Conway castle, on the North Wales coast.
This shot was taken from the car park of the RSPB bird sanctuary on the banks of the river Conwy, just a short distance from the sea.
My wife Liz and I hadn't gone there to photograph anything, it's just one of the many favourite spots that we like to stop, drink a coffee and listen to the sounds of night falling.
However, on this occasion we were both stunned by the sight of the crescent moon as it hovered over the floodlit Conway castle. Clouds kept drifting across the face of the moon and I took many photos like this one until the sky turned completely black.
Of all the photos I took that night, this one best conveys the feeling of awe that we both experienced as we watched this celestial dance in time and space.
